Mozambique: Safaris

Inland...
Inland Mozambique is a territory that for a long time was left unexplored, ravaged by wars and poaching. Today, after 15 years, it is once again open to tourism. It took time for this land to find peace once again, time for the animals to start loving it again and to choose it as a home. A still hidden place, impervious and stark, it opens itself to safaris that become veritable explorations.
New lodges
New lodges have opened in the heart of Niassa and Gorongosa, beautiful tented camps immersed in the bush, offering every comfort and with a clear African flavour. For passionate experts, the new sites represent a final frontier in wild Africa: among the thick bush, great lakes and solitary granite outcrops called “inselberg”, every day becomes an extraordinary adventure.
Letter from Niassa:
“I promise you that once you have tasted the air in the Niassa, climbed up one of the inselberg and looked out at miles and miles of Africa (rather like your huge dunes in Namibia), slept out under the stars, walked in one of the last true wilderness areas of Southern Africa, put your toes in the icing sugar sand of Medjumbe, snorkelled or dived at the amazing walls and sampled our exquisite crayfish, you will fall in love!”
