"Of
all our Africa experiences, one of our major expeditions was the
descent of the Omo River, following the route of Vittorio Bottego's
1895 adventure in Ethiopia. We travelled the same route during the
years of the Mengistu regime and although the country had hard and
severe rules at the time, the ministries and the local government
offices helped us in our exploration, giving us the opportunity to
achieve our dream!"
At
the time, no one knew about the tribes with the lip-plates
and the wildest and richest natural reserve of crocodiles
where the Mursi people live. Just after that, we explored the
most western region of Ethiopia on foot, climbing mountains and
crossing rivers to reach the Surma tribes. Ethiopia has since
rebuilt it's tourist industry and we would like thank NTO, The
Ethiopia Government, Ethiopian Airlines in Milano and Addis
Ababa for all their support through the many years we took groups
along these routes.
These were still the years of great adventures: in the 70's in the
southern corner of Sudan with the Nubas, living in
Bamako among the Dogon, and the heart of Nigeria
gave us deep experiences of Black African Life, their power
and their beliefs, their culture and their hopes. Together with the
African Continent we have experienced a life so very
different from the European and American one.
Mr
Oscar Perrotti,
a very adventurous Italian dentist with a great love of movies,
followed us on many of our adventures and produced a great number
of documentaries which have been repeatedly broadcast on many
television channels around the world. We gave him and his wife,
Carla Perrotti, the logistical support for the long and
difficult overland crossing of the Off Limits-Sector of the
Kalahari Desert and many other deserts in the world.
These adventures have provided us with the experience necessary to
provide our customers the strength and confidence they need to
travel in Africa.
Since then, our work has been refined, and has now expanded to
provide the most luxurious trips in the wildest areas. The most
important factor in travelling in Africa is that, because there is
so much variety, any travel experience has to be tailored to each
persons needs and requirements.
In
the 90's Africa is no longer a mysterious land, but to many people
it is still has a very "wild" image": Through our experience, we
will alleviate those fears; we want to make these people's
dreams come true
- our experience means that guests to Africa no longer have to learn
the hard way.
Come and
feel the free spirit of Africa!
